The vision for Rustic Roots Creative is simple. We help nonprofits tell their story to enable them to effectively communicate and achieve their mission. We believe in the power of nonprofits. We also believe in the power of storytelling.  Stories are captivating and engaging. They can inspire people to dream bigger and motivate them to be part of something bigger than themselves. That's why we believe the work done for nonprofits should be the best work that we do, not an afterthought.

At Rustic Roots Creative, we come alongside your organization and treat your passion as our own.

Owner & Creative Director

Matthew has over 10 years of experience in creating video content for businesses, churches, and non-profit organizations. He is a natural software learner and self-proclaimed geek.

While he loves the world of technology and gadgets, he prefers the simpler side of life and enjoys being in the mountains, spending time at home, or exploring the hills of Blount County.

Graphic & Web Designer

Khloe has been designing since high school and is passionate about helping others communicate. After graduating college in 2015, Khloe spent the last 2 years working for a local nonprofit where she carried all web and graphic design responsibilities while also pursuing freelance work on the side.

Florida born, but East Tennessee raised, Khloe claims good ol’ Rocky Top as home. She enjoys photography, avocados, Pantone colors, and typically has a good cup of coffee within reach. When she’s not working, Khloe's either spending time with her husband, trying to go to the gym, hanging out with friends and family, or accidentally taking naps.

Video Production Intern

Kendall Hayden is a videographer currently living and working in Knoxville, Tennessee. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pellissippi State in 2016 with an AA in Video Production Technology, and is continuing her education at the University of Tennessee majoring in Cinema Studies. She's been doing freelance work alongside her studies in film.

Kendall's ideal space is bright, minimalistic, and smells like fresh coffee. These days, she's doing lots of homework (she's taking 3 different film classes!), but she also loves making videos with friends on campus - mainly for her campus ministry and UT's School of Music. When she's not holding a camera, Kendall enjoys painting, photography, and listening to audiobooks.
